Featured: Natalie | Senior Spokesmodel

Meet Natalie! She is a 2014/2015 Christina Z Photography Senior Spokesmodel. She is also very active at her High School, Lakewood Ranch. Natalie is a class of 2015 High School Senior at Lakewood Ranch. We have had so much fun during the 2014/2015 Spokesmodel year. She has been included in multiple shoots with the Christina Z Photography Spokesmodel Team and has rocked it.

For her own Senior Portrait Session she wanted a downtown look. So we chose riverwalk for that portion. She had 2 outfits. One outfit a little loud and one more classic. Then we finished her shoot at a local beach access point, where Natalie wore a casual outfit. Her session really was all about her – which is what I strive for!

ANTHONY | 2014 Palmetto High School | Bradenton Florida Senior Portrait Photographer – Christina Z Photography

Anthony is another awesome 2014 Christina Z Photography Senior Rep! He is a Senior at Palmetto High School! He chose to have his session done at his home away from home, the island. He is an awesome skim boarder, so we decided to end his session doing what he does best, well actually that’s a toss up.. he was a pretty stinkin’ good model.  Take a look at some of my faves…

Our 4th of July | Christina Z Photography – Orlando Florida Photographer

We enjoyed our Independence Day the way most Americans around the country did, backyard barbecue, swimming, snacking, drinking, games, watching fireworks, and playing with sparklers. Long time friends of our spent a few days with us as well. It’s been about 3 years since our families have spent time together due to military deployments. And it will probably be another stretch of time before we get to do it again, due to another military deployment. Since we’ve seen each other last both of our families have grown so it was really fun to now enjoy each others company, this time as parents.

Here are some of my favorites from our few days together.

Christina Z Photography is making some changes! | Orlando Senior Portrait Photographer

Since starting Christina Z Photography in 2011, I have not changed my prices at all. I’ve made minor adjustments and added some things but nothing major. It is about time for some change! What better time then in my new city, Orlando! Are you with me? I hope you’ll stick around. Trust me, it’s only to better serve you, the client. This is not simply a price increase, I’m working to offer better service and products! More importantly, I am going to focus on what I truly love and strive to be the best at! No more jack of all trades, master of none!

Christina Z Photography specializes in High School Seniors, Family, and Couples Photography.

First, let me clear something up. All current sessions that have paid deposits will not change, this includes baby planners, children, events, weddings, etc. You will even get the old print pricing for up to a month after your gallery is posted. Going forward, beginning June 1st, the new pricing structure will be in effect. Also, I will still hold seasonal mini session events so make sure you keep an eye out for those. If you have any questions feel free to shoot me an email. Okay, on to the good stuff…

You know those photos that have the creamy, sunshine-y goodness in the background? It is referred to as the “golden hour”. Every photographers favorite hour to shoot in. Going forward, all sessions will be held during this time. Amazing, right?

ALL of the new packages include a print credit! I’m so excited about this! I love nothing more than walking around my home and seeing family photos, like artwork, all over my walls. I’m sure you will agree, nothing brightens your day more than seeing the smiles of those you love. Those smiles should be displayed all over your home. Most people take the digital images from their session and put them all over Facebook or they sit on the disc and never get printed. All my hard work just sits in a drawer, the money you spent goes wasted. Not anymore! I will help you choose the best photos to be displayed in your home. How fun, right? I hope you are as excited as I am. So what are you waiting for? Book your CZP Photography Experience today!

The McBride Family | Christina Z Photography

Ohh bittersweetness… My last session in North Carolina! Ironically, with my very first clients. I’ve been photographing this adorable family since 2011 & have loved watching these kiddos grow. Even if I have to chase after Parker every session. hehe! The girls make my job super easy. They ought to be models! I will certainly miss The McBride Family but I hope to see them when they visit Florida.

Once I get settled & unpacked in Florida, I will do a THEN&NOW comparison (their first session is packed away on my external). They aren’t the only ones that have grown leaps since our first session together.

Enjoy! xoxo

Marissa & Dalton | PAINT WAR

What’s more fun than throwing some paint at your boyfriend? Taking pictures while doing it! DUH!! I saw this idea going around on Pinterest and just had to try it out. Of course I had to volunteer my beautiful little sister and her boyfriend! So when I was visiting in Bradenton, Florida we set it up and it was a great time! Lots of paint, giggles, smiles, a big mess & beautiful photos, it’d say that sounds like success! hehehe. Enjoy!

Tips for Photographing YOUR Children | © Christina Z Photography

Tips for Photographing YOUR Children | Christina Z Photography

This is a bit of a continuation of my 10 Posing Tips. As a new mom, I have yet to put my camera down. Even if it’s my iPhone, I swear a day (maybe even an hour) hasn’t gone by that I haven’t taken a photo of my precious daughter. I know so many moms are the same way. So here are some tips to really capture great photos of your children. Photos that you will want to have printed and hanging on your walls, instead of just sitting on your computer or Facebook.

Tips for Photographing YOUR Children | © Christina Z Photography

  1. First and foremost, get on their level! You don’t want all your photos with your kids always looking up at you. Lay on the floor or grass, get down to their level to see things their way. I promise, just by doing this one simple thing you will instantly see better results in your photos.

  2. Leave the cheese in the fridge. Candid moments are so much more beautiful than that forced cheesey smile. Make it relaxed and you are likely to capture their natural expressions. Natural is OK, you’ll want to look back on those memories not just the smiling pictures.

  3. Be silly, and engage your children. Make funny faces, jump around, sing a silly song. You’ll be more likely to get a natural expression when they are having some fun with you.

  4. Turn the flash off. PLEASE, I beg you! Using flash washes out and discolors everything in your photo. Your best bet is off not auto.

  5. Find natural light. If your indoors try moving towards a window with soft natural light. When outdoors, the best time is the hour after sunrise and the hour before sunset. If the sun is too harsh you will get squinty eyes and bad shadows. Overcast days are perfect for taking your kids out for some pictures.

  6. Focus on the eyes. Especially on close-ups.

  7. Get a little closer. Often, we get so caught up in the scenery that the children will get lost in the picture. Getting closer or zooming in will make a huge difference.

  8. Be aware of your background. Keep it simple and clutter free. I practically clean the room mid-photo, just to keep my background simple.

  9. Know when to stop. When the kids start getting cranky and you start getting frustrated, your times up. Try again another day.

  10. Take a gazzilion pictures! It may take you 100 to get that one amazing photos, but it’ll be in there. That’s the beauty of the digital age.

I hope you find this helpful and share it with your mommy friends. Now get out there and capture those precious moments of your munchkins!

Jesse&Danielle | COUPLES

Jesse & Danielle were awesome to work with! A spunky, fun, young couple who are incredibly in love (is what I gathered from our session). They have been in the Jacksonville, NC area for a short time, and Jesse is off to deploy soon. I know how important pre-deployment photos are, it’s something they each can hold on to while being a part. I’m so lucky to be able to capture this important time in their lives and we had a great time doing so. Danielle had a couple ideas for her own, thank you Pinterest! Danielle’s only request was to have amazing light… I think I gave her what she asked for. What do you think?
