I mean really jump out of the box to jump start your creativity again! I have been wanting to photograph at night using car headlights for a while and just hadn’t gotten to it yet. I have to say, when your in a rut of any sort – mine being a creativity rut within my photography, you must do something for yourself. That’s what I had to do, and it really turned out just as imagined it. I plan to a lot more shoots for myself in the future. My passion is what got me into this biz, so sometimes I need to rejuvenate that passion. Anyways, my step-sister was coming into town and I knew she’d let me get creative. We picked out the perfect outfit, did her hair and make-up, and off we went…
When we first moved into this house I looked at the big bare wall above my couch and thought a huge canvas needs to go there. Months went by and the wall remained empty, because well… I couldn’t commit to just ONE huge canvas. So then I started thinking, what about a photo wall, done with style. So I convinced my handy husband to build me a few shelves. He had no idea to the extreme I wanted these shelves, he soon found out hehe. Once we got them up, the few frames I had weren’t going to do, so I began collecting frames and ordering photos from my professional lab. The best part is I can switch out the photos when I want.
Maria is a St. Petersburg High School Senior, who used to live in Palmetto, Florida and is originally from Colombia. She used to be involved in softball and rowing. Her hobbies include going to the gym everyday, staying in shape, going out with friends and spending time with her boyfriend (who also came along for support during her senior photo session).
Anthony is another awesome 2014 Christina Z Photography Senior Rep! He is a Senior at Palmetto High School! He chose to have his session done at his home away from home, the island. He is an awesome skim boarder, so we decided to end his session doing what he does best, well actually that’s a toss up.. he was a pretty stinkin’ good model. Take a look at some of my faves…

This session has to be one of my favorites, we have been planning it for months. The Rogers’ are practically family so when Gena mentioned me doing Shorty’s Senior Portraits I was ecstatic! So the planning begun. Shorty is big into fishing and most weekends he can be found on his boat. So instead of making him (yes, making him – he does not like pictures) do his session on land I figured lets take it to the water! All that excitement wore off when the day before his session his dad told me what a disaster it would be, how Shorty isn’t a morning person, and hates his picture taken, and on and on… I had my work cut out for me. 5:45 AM rolls around, and I’m headed out the door for his sunrise session, hop on his boat and head to the island. He must have known I meant serious business, because it was anything but disastrous. I even got TONS of smiles from him! Although I had to bribe him a bit towards the end for multiple poses on his boat, he cooperated and I have to say every photo turned out amazing!
Meet Adriana! She is a stunning, trendy, senior that def should do some modeling! She has the legs for it.. oh and the facial expressions too! Adriana is a 2013 Palmetto High School Senior. She is originally from Puerto Rico – hence her gorgeous skin tone, although it could be from all the time she spends on the beach too! Anyway, we had a great time walking up and down the Bradenton Riverwalk.
Adriana was a wonderful model and I enjoyed spending the afternoon with her. Here are some of my favorites from her senior portrait session.

What does it mean to be a Senior Rep?
As next year’s high school senior, you will be a spokesperson for Christina Z Photography’s senior sessions! All you have to do is show off your awesome pictures to your friends! It’s true!
How you ask? You’ll be supplied with referral cards and images to share online. Of course, the best way to spread the word is by talking about how awesome your shoot was! You’ll have the summer and school year to refer as many friends as you can, and earn rewards for each successful referral.
